Health Tips - Pans and Cookware

Pans and Cookware

Using cookware with any aluminum in it can result in exhaustion and mental fog as your body accumulates this toxic metal.

In order to avoid toxic metals, here are the healthiest cookware choices for:

  • Baking: Use glass baking dishes, glass baking sheets or cast iron muffin pans.  Check out the Pyrex “bake and store set” and CorningWare as well.  All can be found online.
  • Frying: Use old style cast iron frying pans.  Do not find one with a non-stick surface, as these are toxic.
  • Saucepans: Find white enamel coated cast iron pans online.
  • Steamers: Use small amount of water in a pan, no metal steamers!
  • Tea Water: Heat-resistant glass teakettles are online.  Vision glass pots without a non-stick surface also work for this purpose.
  • Toaster Ovens: Use a small Pyrex glass dish to bake food in as the metal trays are toxic.

Note that stainless steel is not anywhere on this list.  There are many layers of aluminum in all stainless steel cookware.  It eventually leaches through into the food and you.

Please resist passing on your old cookware to a "friend", just clear your kitchen of these items immediately and dump them!

Best of health!
