Dr Pepi's Ginger Root Recipes

Raw or lightly heated fresh ginger can:

  • Shrink liver and gallbladder stones and other hard deposits in the body.
  • Reduce nausea or a tendency to vomit.
  • Reduce flatulence and constipation.
  • Thin the blood and reduce cholesterol.
  • Help treat and prevent colds, flus and other viral and bacterial illness.
  • Clear up mucous and congestion.
  • Reduce growth of these cancer cells: colon, breast, skin, pancreas, and ovarian.

Here are four ways to use fresh ginger root:

Raw ginger root: The most therapeutic way to take ginger is raw. At home, try juicing 1/2 teaspoon in with your fresh vegetable juice. If your taste allows it, try increasing the amount.

Ginger tea recipe: Boil 10 oz. water as you grate 1 tablespoon ginger root. Once the water is boiling, turn the heat off, add the ginger, and cover. Let it steep for a couple minutes. Strain the tea with a strainer and add 1 or 2 drops of stevia extract.

Ginger stir-fry: Grate 1 tablespoon ginger root. Stir-fry your food, turn off the heat, throw in the grated ginger root, and cover the pan for a minute or two.

Ginger-spiced cider recipe: Boil 10 oz. of apple cider. (If you cannot find apple cider, apple juice can be used in the same way.) Add 1 tablespoon grated ginger root, cover, and turn off the heat. Strain and drink up.

Ginger up!
