Cinnamon Oat Balls

Here is a healthy treat that takes minutes to make and even kids love it! In this recipe for two, there are 13 grams of protein, 408 mg phosphorus, 138 mg magnesium, 334 mg potassium and almost 4 mg manganese and iron! This recipe also contains 9 grams of dietary fiber.  High dietary fiber has been correlated with reduced cholesterol, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and many intestinal disorders.

Ingredients

whole oats (not rolled or steel cut)
raw agave nectar syrup
coconut oil
cinnamon
sea salt 

Recipe

  • Grind 1/2 cup whole oats.
  • Mix in 1/8 teaspoon sea salt and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
  • Mix together 1 tablespoon each of agave, coconut oil and water.
  • Optional - add 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger or cranberries or raisins, etc.
  • Blend wet and dry ingredients with a spatula and roll by hand into small balls.
