Health Tips - Toothbrushes and Toothpaste

Toothbrushes and Toothpaste

To reduce the spread of germs in your bathroom:

  1. Please refrain from sharing toothbrushes and toothpaste.
  2. Find your own favorite toothpaste and sign your name on it with magic marker near the cap.
  3. Find your own spot in a drawer or cabinet for your toothbrush and toothpaste that is not close to others.  Toothbrushes that are free standing can be coughed on, toilet bowl vapors can land on them -- you get the point.
  4. Every week or so, pour 3% hydrogen peroxide into a small glass and soak only your toothbrush in that glass over night.
  5. Buy a pack of toothbrushes for sleepover guests.  Set aside a separate tube of toothpaste for them that you label "guests". In our house certain children sleep over enough that they each have their own labeled Ziploc™ bag with a toothbrush in it.

Easy peasy and likely to reduce the number of cavities and sore throats in your home!
