Health Tips - Blood Tests

Blood Tests

You can tell so much about the inner workings of your body through testing your blood. It is really kind of a miracle. You can find out a lot about your liver, kidneys, pancreas, and immune system. A blood test is an excellent yearly investment in your health.

Blood testing doesn’t have to be inconvenient. Several can be done inexpensively at home with the prick of a finger. Here is a website that charges around $26.00 for each of these tests:

  1. Complete cholesterol test measures if cholesterol is too high in the blood, which can lead to heart disease.
  2. Diabetes test screens for diabetes.
  3. Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) test measures the level of this hormone in the blood. It can indicate an overactive thyroid, an underactive thyroid, or a pituitary problem.
  4. C-Reactive Protein (CRP) is a protein made by the liver in response to inflammation. This test screens for heart disease risk and overall body inflammation.
  5. Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) is a protein produced by the prostate. It is too high in the presence of prostate cancer or other disorders.

In this site, there are more home tests including saliva tests. Their tests are more expensive, but they have a longer list of things that they can home-test.

If you receive any abnormal results on these tests, schedule a consultation with me or your general practitioner ASAP. I can help you to get effective help for diabetes & low blood sugar or get effective help with thyroid problems. Read some successes with cholesterol problems or general successes. I can help you create a program for your test results.

Finding out how your body is doing gives you more control over your health.
