Health Tips Library - Organic Food
Patients often ask me this question: “Should I buy organic food?”As a teacher of mine once said, “Would it be okay to make a great meal and spray a little RAID on it?”
From the United States Environmental Protection Agency:
"Laboratory studies show that pesticides can cause health problems, such as birth defects, nerve damage, cancer, and other effects that might occur over a long period of time. . Some pesticides also pose unique health risks to children."

Pesticides used on food include:
- Insecticides to control insects
- Rodenticides to control rodents
- Herbicides to control weeds
- Fungicides to control mold and fungus
- Antimicrobials to control bacteria
Best of all, organic food usually tastes better!
To your long healthy life!
